Author Biography:
David Madden lives in Tallahassee, Florida, with his wife and two kids, and teaches high school science (mostly AP Biology and Biology, along with Physics and AP Environmental Science). He loves being outside, exploring, and playing sports. One of his favorite things is going on adventures with his kids and sharing that sense of curiosity and discovery with them. He feels lucky to live in a biodiversity hotspot surrounded by springs, rivers, the ocean, and everything from manatees and alligators to birds, snakes, and insects. He loves spending time exploring those places, taking photos, and making science and nature videos. Photography and video have become a fun way for him to learn about the natural world and share what he finds.
