You’ve finished your project and have submitted it to this site. What do you do next? Follow these instructions so you’re ready to discuss your project during your scheduled Q&A session.
Before the Event
- Search this website for your project and make sure the video, project details and scheduled time are all accurate.
- Share the link to your project video with peers, colleagues, family or anyone.
- Invite all to return to your scheduled Q&A session. The links to “Join Session” are available on the schedule page.
- If you aren’t familiar with WebEx meetings, download WebEx and try out the screen sharing function BEFORE your LIVE Q&A session.
On the Event Day
- Go to the Schedule page. Use the “Join Session” link to join the LIVE meeting. Please communicate this to your co-presenters.
- You are expected to be in the meeting for the entire duration of your allotted time with the video on.
- Make a note of the phone-in information on the miamioh.webex.com Meeting List. This is your back-up if your Wi-Fi goes down. You can also use a Webex mobile app or use a hotspot (if you have one) on your phone to connect your laptop.
- At the beginning of your Q&A time, the moderator will start the session. You should be prepared to take over the meeting and share your screen immediately.
- For your presentation, one person should introduce the team and provide a very brief summary of the project (i.e. an ‘elevator pitch’). You may also include a brief demonstration of your product. Session participants were asked to view your video prior to the Q&A session. If discussion does not start immediately following your introductions, have a few talking points prepared to begin discussion and provide additional details about the project.
After Your Presentation
- Feel free to stay for other sessions or leave the call.
