The vision of the project was to create/iterate upon a POS simulator application for WorldPay/FIS that will be a part of a testing suite that will have many different tools.
MISSION
Our mission was to build an E-commerce simulator with a GUI frontend that ties with a card-processing backend by sending it a hex string defined according to the technical standard ISO 8583. This was built on top of a previous group’s architecture that they’d already written for another part of this tester. It also needed to be non-technical and user-friendly, since some testers do not necessarily have programming experience.
