Hispanic / Latinx Heritage Month Featured Art

By Collections Manager / Registrar, Laura Stewart

Since 1968, Americans have celebrated National Hispanic Heritage Month. This 30-day period
runs from September 15 – October 15, and recognizes the contributions of Americans with
Spanish, Mexican, Caribbean, Central and South American ancestry.

In celebration of this important heritage month, Miami University Art Museum presents here a
handful of Hispanic/Latinx artists who are represented in its permanent collection.
