Student Intro: Leah Ball

Hello! My name is Leah Ball and I am working at the Art Museum this semester as a Marketing and Engagement Intern! I am studying theatre, arts management, and entrepreneurship, and I will be graduating from Miami this December. In addition to my internship at the Art Museum, I am involved with Delight Ministries and LIFE (Leading the Integration of Faith and Entrepreneurship). My favorite activities are spending time with friends, watching movies, and playing board games.

I started studying non-profit arts business because of my love for theatre. Through my exposure to all the facets of arts management, I have discovered my passion for community engagement. During my internship this semester, I am excited to have the opportunity to pursue this passion through leading marketing initiatives for our student parties, as well as taking lead on our pop-up marketing initiatives across campus. I will be continuing the Donuts and DalĂ pop-up’s that a past intern started last semester, so follow us on social media (FacebookInstagramTwitter) to see where I’ll be popping up around campus with donut holes and information on upcoming events!

The exhibitions in the museum I am focusing on this semester are Cutting the Grain: Nuances of Wood Relief Prints, which is a brand new exhibition that will only be here until December 14, and Art History at a Glance, which is an ongoing exhibition. Come check them out – you won’t be disappointed!

Our next student party will be a Day of the Dead celebration on October 15 at 7 PM following a lecture by Imix Hernández De la Rosa, who is a Spanish Instructor at Miami. Click here for more information on the event. Hope to see you there!
