Meet the Co-editor: Megan Chelliah

Hello! My name is Megan Chelliah and I’m from Manhattan Beach, CA, a suburb of Los Angeles. I am a second year Strategic Communications major with an Arts Management co-major and an Art History minor! These programs have allowed me to develop an interest and appreciation for the arts as well as the skills to publicize and market them successfully. This year I am one of the Arts Management interns at the museum, so I have the opportunity to work closely with various departments at the museum. My goal is to generate more publicity around our exhibitions at the museum through social media and this blog!

On campus I am involved in Greek life as well as the TEDxMiamiUniversity club. My role as Director of Public relations for the TEDx club enables me to utilize the skills I am learning as a Strategic Communications major and apply them to real life scenarios. I look forward to doing the same with my Arts Management major in my position at MUAM!

In my free time I enjoy reading, binge watching my favorite shows, and spending time with friends. My favorite art museum is The Broad Museum in downtown Los Angeles. I have had a fascination with this contemporary art museum since its opening in 2015, and try to visit it every time I go home.

My position as the Arts Management intern at MUAM is a year long, allowing me to gain a deeper understanding of the museum and its exhibits. Right now I am focused on Telling a People’s Story, however this Fall I will be focused on marketing the upcoming exhibition, I’m In the Wrong Film by Hans Gindlesberger.
