Student Intern of the Week: Alisha Boykin

Meet Alisha Boykin from Canfield, Ohio!

Alisha is a double major in strategic communication and theater with a minor in fashion. She is a senior at Miami and currently the Marketing/PR intern for the Art Museum. Along with being actively involved in the theater department, Alisha is also heavily involved in other school activities. Alisha is the co-executive chair for Charter Day Ball and on the event planning committee for Miami University Fashion & Design (MUF&D). Alisha is also a third-year resident assistant (RA) in Heritage Commons and one of the two student members on the RA celebration and training committee. When she has free time Alisha enjoys sewing, binge watching her favorite shows and spending time with her friends and her dog, Damon.

After Graduation in the spring, Alisha hopes to move to Chicago to start a career in event planning. Since she is passionate about diversity and inclusion, she would like to stay involved in theater and art, helping plan events that involve the community and sponsor social change. While she is sad to be leaving Miami behind, she is excited to spend her last semester working at the Art Museum on marketing for the next exhibition: Telling A People’s Story: African-AmericanĀ Children’s IllustratedĀ Literature.
