PURPOSE: To create a system that monitors the locations of active devices in Miami University Libraries using data from Cisco, and to form some basic analysis on that data, storing it in a database. This is a sister project to the Miami LibFinder, which deals more with the paths users take through the same libraries.
Temporospatial Web-based Visualization System
PURPOSE: To build an accessible temporospatial application, providing an open-source platform for users to display data in an interactive manner.
Organic Matter Detection & Measurement
PURPOSE: Optimize DCS readings and interpretation of blood flow through organic tissue using a Raspberry Pi.
Miami LibFinder
PROBLEM: Users have trouble finding a resource in the library.
3D Object Annotation
PURPOSE: To create a tool that workers can use to identify parts of a building. This data can then be used for teaching a machine learning (AI) model.
Wheel Share
PURPOSE: To build a mobile application that provides navigation and data collection to those in wheelchairs. The application, using device sensors, crowd sources road surface and incline data. Over time, the navigation feature learns to provide the most accessible route for the user.
Distributed Taxi
PURPOSE: Our project is research-oriented. We are going to attempt to find an algorithmic approach to minimize travel times for customers, and map a distributed solution based on our findings. This solution will allow selection of Taxi based on proximity and a set of predetermined criteria established before any rides take place.
Red Hawk Parking Pal
PURPOSE: Develop an application to route the nearest parking spot, building a forcasting model to predict the occupancy in the parking lot.
M3 Mapper II
PURPOSE: Develop and deploy a system which uses both active and passive user localization in an indoor environment.
