The purpose of this study was to evaluate the social media reach for an eBook for Oral Health Literacy\u00a9 to promote child health education. The study aimed to summarize and determine the role of four separate social media channels in dissemination of the eBook for Oral Health Literacy\u00a9. Reading literacy among children as well as knowledge and participation in oral health are included in the leading health indicators published by Healthy People 2030 (U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, 2020). Four social media channels were promoted for the campaign: Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and Twitter. Social media data were collected by hand and by channel metrics, e.g., views, post clicks, likes, comments, and shares for the oral health materials. Results showed that views and post clicks were most indicative of interaction with the social media materials. Ongoing dissemination of the eBook for Oral Health Literacy\u00a9 curriculum should continue for parents, teachers, dentists, and children. This experience has advanced my commitment to public health communication for promoting the leading health indicators in the U.S., especially the oral health literacy of children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
