He produced over 5000 paintings, posters and images during his 40-year career. Damsleth\u2019s depiction of a quaint village in the countryside offers a romantic glimpse<br>into Norwegian culture to entice American travelers. No work of art by Damsleth, including this poster, is found in Norway outside of the country\u2019s Military Museum. Damsleth is notoriously known as a traitor and a Nazi sympathizer who produced oppressive propaganda during the German occupation of Norway from 1940-1945.
