piggyGHRA GATEWAY compatible reporter construct for evaluating enhancer activity. Tc-hsp68 minimal promoter with dsRed. This construct worked in Drosophila, but did not work in Tribolium (at least in the wing tissue). piggyAct5cRTribolium act5C promoter (1kb upstream from the start codon, including 5'UTR) driving dsRed. The native polyA (1kb downstream from the stop codon including 3UTR and polyA) is used. This construct drives strong ubiquitous expression in Tribolium, but it does not drive any expression in Drosophila. piggyNubProRTribolium nubbin promoter (2kb upstream from the start codon, including 5'UTR) driving dsRed. The native polyA (2kb downstream from the stop codon including 3UTR and polyA) is used. This construct fails to drive dsRed expression in Tribolium.
