What is a microcredential?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

At Miami University, Microcredentials<\/a> are skill-specific, workforce-driven credentials that can be completed in one year or less, and are made up of existing college-credit courses<\/strong> that are repackaged to better meet the needs of the workforce. All of Miami Online\u2019s Microcredentials can be applied toward Miami University\u2019s degree programs. Microcredentials themselves do NOT appear on university transcripts, though transcripts do include the individual college-credit courses that make up the Microcredential. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Learners who complete a Microcredential receive a digital badge – great for sharing on professional documents and social media! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
