Anxiety. Dread. Panic.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Three words described how I felt about taking this class.<\/p>\n

Why am I doing this to myself?<\/p>\n

Yes, I thrive from the energy of others.<\/p>\n

Yet, I am afraid.<\/strong><\/p>\n

What will people think?<\/p>\n

Trouble, Scattergories, Candyland: three games that I love.<\/p>\n

What will people think?<\/p>\n

I am the observer. I am the encourager.<\/p>\n

What will people think?<\/p>\n

I am not a player.<\/strong><\/p>\n

What will people think?<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Slowly walking towards my fears.<\/p>\n

Slowly walking towards what I dread.<\/p>\n

Yet, there is light.<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Hannah.<\/p>\n

My best friend.<\/p>\n

Slowly walks with me.<\/p>\n

Smiles.<\/p>\n

Looks at the world with hope.<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

And then<\/p>\n

I relax.<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The smell<\/strong> of ornately decorated cupcakes.<\/p>\n

The sound<\/strong> of joyful laughter.<\/p>\n

The sight<\/strong> of random compilation of people.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Perhaps, I will thrive.<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Resistance: Avalon<\/p>\n

What is this?<\/p>\n

Sounds intimidating.<\/p>\n

Classmates: clever & knowledgeable<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Me: baffled<\/strong> & confused.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

8 people.<\/p>\n

5 good. 3 evil.<\/p>\n

I hope I am good.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I hope I do not have to talk.<\/p>\n

I hope I do not have to be the leader.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Breathe<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

I am a loyal servant of Arthur.<\/p>\n

I am good.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Still baffled.<\/p>\n

Simple.<\/p>\n

Good wins.<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Round 2.<\/p>\n

Of course.<\/p>\n

I am Merlin.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Still baffled.<\/p>\n

What do I do?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I listen.<\/p>\n

I attempt to persuade.<\/p>\n

People accuse.<\/p>\n

How do people bluff?<\/p>\n

Others listen to the man with the most knowledge.<\/p>\n

I am not heard.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Somehow good wins.<\/p>\n

But, I am discovered<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The knowledgeable assassin reigns.<\/p>\n

Evil wins.<\/strong><\/p>\n

What did I just play?<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I did not expect to talk.<\/p>\n

Talk, I did.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Baffled, I am.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

We laughed.<\/p>\n

This quirky<\/strong> group of ours.<\/p>\n

We learned.<\/p>\n

We observed.<\/p>\n

We noticed.<\/p>\n

We played.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Elders & Wise Men lead<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Blind follow<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Baffled laugh<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Curious seek<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

All together, we play<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
