Extracurricular Activities- Community Involvement

Introduction:

Extracurricular activities are an essential component of college life, as they provide students with opportunities to explore their interests, develop new skills, and connect with like-minded individuals. Participating in extracurricular activities can also help students become more well-rounded individuals and enhance their overall college experience. Whether it’s joining a sports team, a student club, or a volunteer organization, extracurricular activities provide a platform for students to learn and grow outside of the classroom. These activities can offer opportunities for leadership, teamwork, and personal growth that are not typically found in academic settings. For these reasons, being involved in extracurricular activities is highly recommended for students who want to make the most of their college experience.

Example:

S: I want to participate in at least three extracurricular activities during my first year of college.

M: I will track my progress by keeping a record of the extracurricular activities I participate in and the amount of time I spend on each activity.

A: I will research the extracurricular activities available on campus and choose three that align with my interests and schedule.

R: Participating in extracurricular activities will help me develop new skills, make new friends, and become a more well-rounded student.

T: I will achieve this goal by the end of my first year of college.
