Clifton Young Adult Library

The concept behind my design was revolved around the idea of creating an indoor, outdoor experience. This concept came from the idea that Clifton Plaza which this library is attached to, was an outdoor room, with no walls or roofs. With this design it then creates an interesting experience as one travels from one end of the building to the other.

Clifton Library

My Concept for this project is creating an experience that involves the way that light shines through the building. This is accomplished through the glass atrium that is in the center of the building, that will have different colored panels of glass. This will brings an indoor outdoor experience as one moves throughout the building.

Materials

The exterior of the building will be paneled steel, while the glass atrium will be three different colored pressed glass. All the other glass walls shown would be a single color.
