The goal of the project is to develop MATLAB® based interactive simulation tools that will enable students at various academic levels to explore the methodology and formulation employed in the numerical modeling of the deformation behavior of biocompatible polymers. MATLAB® based GUI tools and supporting materials (tutorials, worksheets etc.) have been developed to enable students to utilize these tools in conjunction with experimental data to learn about material characterization. The efficacy of the process will be assessed by the Ohio’s Evaluation and Assessment Center at Miami University.
