Parking garage gates will begin operation on 10\/12.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

New parking access control equipment will begin operating in both campus parking garages on Miami’s Oxford campus Mon. morning, Oct. 12. The access equipment was replaced as part of a project to update the parking facilities with equipment that\u00a0would be compliant with new credit card security standards which took effect Oct. 1.<\/p>\n

Only credit cards will be accepted for payment at the exit gates when operation begins on Mon., Oct. 12. \u00a0Cash payments can be made at a “pay-on-foot” machine located near the elevator on the entry level in each garage; the paid receipt from this pay station will open the gate for exit. \u00a0Access card holders will be able to use their existing garage access cards for entry and exit at the facility.<\/p>\n

Parking rates for 2015-16 vary by facility.<\/p>\n

Academic Parking (north) Garage<\/strong><\/p>\n

$1.50 first hour<\/p>\n

$1.00 each additional hour<\/p>\n

$15 daily maximum<\/p>\n

$15 lost\/unreadable ticket<\/p>\n

Campus Avenue (south) Garage<\/strong><\/p>\n

$1 first hour<\/p>\n

$0.50 each additional hour<\/p>\n

$10 daily maximum<\/p>\n

$10 lost\/unreadable ticket<\/p>\n
