Welcome to the Fall 2025 semester! To help make your move-in as smooth as possible, here is a breakdown of the parking policies and restrictions you need to know.
General Parking Restrictions (August 8 – August 25)
From 7 a.m. on Friday, August 8, 2025, through 7 a.m. on Monday, August 25, 2025, parking permits will not be required on campus. However, please be aware that standard parking violations will still be enforced. This includes parking at meters, in yellow zones, or in front of fire hydrants.
Parking Garage Access (August 19 – August 25)
The parking gates for both campus garages will be open starting at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, and will remain open until 2 a.m. on Monday, August 25, 2025. During this time, you will not need to pay to park in the garages. Normal operations will resume after this period.
Kiosks, Passport App, and Admission Lots (August 19 – August 25)
Similar to the parking garages, the parking kiosks, the Passport parking app, and all Admission lots will be free to use from 7 a.m. on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, until 7 a.m. on Monday, August 25, 2025. Normal enforcement will resume at that time.
Specific Lot Information (August 25 – September 2)
From 7 a.m. on Monday, August 25, 2025, through 7 a.m. on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, parking permits will not be required in the following lots:
- West Millett*
- Chestnut Fields*
- Ditmer Field
*Please note that warnings will be issued to vehicles with residential permits that are parked in the Millett and Chestnut Commuter sections to ensure these spaces are available for commuter students.
