and I realize I have been staring<\/p>\n\n\n\n
too long at the neighbor\u2019s house<\/p>\n\n\n\n
for someone out walking their dog<\/p>\n\n\n\n
in the rain. I am a lightning rod<\/p>\n\n\n\n
for gossip, the blade of light<\/p>\n\n\n\n
at a coffee table of darkness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I don\u2019t need Mrs. Wallace to drop her curtain<\/p>\n\n\n\n
and pick up the chunk of landline<\/p>\n\n\n\n
she keeps on the side table, smile, and<\/p>\n\n\n\n
whip back around, even if the rooster<\/p>\n\n\n\n
is rocking a sick double 900.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
