the atlanta braves are the only sports organization i have any respect for
        my grandfather was a lifelong fan, following the franchise from boston to milwaukee to atlanta and wore his braves hat everywhere, except at the dinner table
        towards the end of his life, i would sit with him and watch them play. by that point his vision had deteriorated so badly that his tv screen had to be fifty inches
        dont worry, he told me, it\/s prescription
        when he died, my uncle had an idea for the family to all wear braves hats for a photo after the funeral, but had difficulty finding enough hats in massachusetts and contacted the braves directly, figuring they had a few laying around they could sell him
        a week later, a box from the braves showed up at his door with twenty free hats and a letter expressing sorrow and appreciation for my grandfather\/s loyalty
        i dont know where they stand in this year\/s pennant race and cant name a player on their roster, but i wear my hat everywhere, especially the dinner table
