At the center of the photo are many precious family heirlooms from Gabriel\u2019s parents &#8211; <em>Palaansa<\/em>, <em>Seekaahkweeta<\/em>, and <em>Saakacaahkwa <\/em>&#8211; and the parents of his second wife &#8211; <em>\u0160iipaakana <\/em>and <em>Mahkoonsihkwa<\/em>, also known as Frances Slocum. Two pieces of ribbonwork in this image have the same checkerboard design as the woman\u2019s leggings in the case below.
