Artist Statement: Referencing the Eastern philosophical concept of Samsara, the cycle of existence, this work uses a cosmic sense of space to explore a metaphysical sense of unrest. By juxtaposing the soft atmosphere with the harsh materiality of the swirling vortex, the piece plays with the unstable duality of the human condition. While we may inhabit these temporary physical vessels, aren’t we so much more?
