String Auditions<\/span><\/em>: This is a friendly reminder that string auditions were due this past Sunday, August 14th. For any late auditions, please click on the link to record your excerpts, along with contacting the conductor, Dr. Averbach. https:\/\/miamioh.edu\/cca\/academics\/departments\/music\/ensembles\/symphony-orchestra\/index.html<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Woodwind\/Brass Auditions<\/span><\/em>: Audition dates are August 21st, 22nd, and 23rd. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wind players will audition for Dr. Averbach and Professor Speck, at which time they shall indicate the ensemble(s) for which they wish to be considered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MAKE EVERY EFFORT to audition in the block of time reserved for your instrument. Also, please sign for the\u00a0earliest time at which\u00a0you are available<\/strong>.\u00a0Do not add times without first speaking to either Dr. Averbach or Professor Speck. Please try to audition on the same evening if you are not available during your time block.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you must perform at a time other than that reserved\u00a0for your instrument,\u00a0please indicate your instrument when you sign up.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You will be asked to play scales and the audition excerpts; you might be asked to sight-read also.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
