A.J. Baldwin <\/strong>(She\/Her\/Hers) is a performance-based creative from Montgomery, AL, but has grown very fond of Cincinnati. A.J.’s recent acting credits include: “Theatre: A Love Story” at Know Theatre of Cincinnati, “The Wind in the Willows” (Ratty), and “The Snowy Day” (Mom) at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park. Regional credits include: “Lawbreakers!” (Angelina Weld Grimke\/Sojourner Truth\/Olivia) at StageOne; “A Christmas Carol” (Ghost of Christmas Past\/Lucy) at Trinity Repertory Co.; “Intimate Apparel” (Esther) and “The Merry Wives of Windsor” (Mistress Page) at Theater at Monmouth. A.J. holds BAs in Theater and History from Auburn University at Montgomery. A proud script consultant and emerging playwright, A.J. believes that dreams do come true!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Justin Bourne<\/strong> is a Sophomore Theatre and Creative Writing double major who will be playing Feliks in Describe the Night<\/em>. His previous credits include roles in various plays and musicals throughout the Greater Cincinnati area. He is excited to be a part of the show.

Ben Capella<\/strong> is a sophomore Theatre major with a computer science and musical theatre minor at Miami. He is blessed to have cast in The Helpers<\/em> in the Digital Reading Series. He has been a part of theatre since his debut role as Drake the butler in Annie Jr., way back in 6th grade. I\u2019d like to thank my mom for both birthing and taking care of me, my dad for supporting me, my brother for being in Dubai without me, and my amazing friends that I wouldn\u2019t trade for anyone. Maya Caulfield<\/strong> is a Stanford senior majoring in English with a Creative Writing emphasis. On campus, she is a member of the Stanford Improvisors and Robber Barons Sketch Comedy. As a professional actor from Portland, Oregon, Maya has worked with Oregon Children\u2019s Theatre doing live (and virtual) children\u2019s theater, improv, and other mainstage productions for the past 10 years. This fall, she was a member of the Mercury Company at Artists Repertory Theatre, improvised with Bay Area TheatreSports (BATS Improv), and performed in her first reading of Baby Camp<\/em> through TheatreWorks New Works Next Generation Program. She is grateful to Nandita Shenoy for gifting her the opportunity to dive into this world once more!
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jamie Chmielewski<\/strong> is a senior theatre and arts management co-major with a musical theatre minor attending Miami University. Previous credits with MUT include When We Get Good Again <\/em>(Tracy), Blood Sisters <\/em>(Sister Jane Mooney), and The Wolves<\/em> (Assistant Director) among others. Regional credits include: Octets; A New Musical<\/em> (originated), Underground<\/em> (Jewel), and The Music Man<\/em> (Marian Paroo). Jamie is an Irene Ryan Scholarship semi-finalist and finalist, and competed for these titles at KCACTF in 2020 and 2021. She is also the current president of Alpha Psi Omega. Jamie is so thankful to have been a part of the Digital Reading Series, and extends her thanks to the company for making these shows happen. Enjoy the show!

Stephanie Colby<\/strong>is a senior media & culture\/theatre major at Miami University. This is her first semester as a livestream technician. In her free time, she is the director for Miami Television News. Stephanie has assisted with sound, lighting, properties, marketing, and costume crew with MUTheatre for the last 3 years.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jonathan Erwin<\/strong> is a freshman Theater major with a co-major in Arts Management and will be playing Mr. Richter and the German Radio Announcer in The Helpers. <\/em>His previous roles during his time at Miami have been Ben in Not Quite Morning <\/em>and Luke in From the Many<\/em>. He is also currently Ryan in Beginner\u2019s Guide to High School Dances. <\/em>Jonathan is so grateful for the opportunity to act in such crazy times, and he\u2019d like to thank his friends and family for being by his side throughout his journey.

Becca Goetz <\/strong>is a sophomore at Miami University double majoring in Marketing and Theatre with a minor in French. She is excited to be a cast member in The Helpers<\/em> and Describe the Night<\/em>. Previously, Becca has helped with the marketing of MU Theatre\u2019s Comedy of Errors<\/em> and The Wolves<\/em> and has helped on the costuming of She Kills Monsters<\/em>. Becca is also a member of the MU Fencing club. Becca would like to thank all who have been a part of bringing the Digital Reading Series to life and her friends and family for their wonderful support. She hopes you enjoy these incredible shows!

Drew Grant<\/strong> is a sophomore Theatre major and a Community Based Leadership minor at Miami University. In The Helpers, <\/em>he will be playing the part of Alfie. Some of his credits at Miami include From the Many <\/em>(Eli), Archive Record 62 <\/em>(Brad), and was a Dramaturg for the show Sherlock Holmes and the Vanishing Glass, <\/em>all a part of the Miami University Fringe Festival <\/em>taking place in the fall semester of 2020. Drew is also the current Vice President of Sigma Alpha Mu, Mu Psi Chapter. Drew is very excited to be a part of this production, and so honored to be working with all the wonderful people on this with him.

Britt Graves<\/strong> is a senior at Miami University majoring in Creative Writing with a minor in Linguistics. She\u2019s honored to have a role in Silas the Uninvited.<\/em> At Miami she played a role in The Hysterical History of Cleopatra, <\/em>and before attending Miami she starred in a few others plays such as Alice in Wonderland <\/em>and The Light in the Library.<\/em> She is also a member of the MU Figure Skating club. Britt is beyond thankful to be involved in this production and is excited to work with everyone!
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Julia Guichard <\/strong>is a Professor and Chair of Theatre at Miami University. She holds a BFA in Acting from the Goodman School of Drama at DePaul University in Chicago and an MFA in Acting from The Pennsylvania State University.\u00a0\u00a0 She is also a certified teacher of the Alexander Technique, holding certificates from The Performance School and Alexander Technique International. As a guest artist, she has taught the Technique in the BFA acting programs at Carnegie Mellon, Baldwin Wallace University and at the University of Cincinnati, College Conservatory of Music.\u00a0 She has worked as a professional movement and vocal coach for Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Ensemble Theatre of Cincinnati (where she is the resident vocal coach), and several independent films. \u00a0Julia is an active member of the Voice and Speech Trainers Association (VASTA). She has served as the Production Editor and Associate Editor for the Voice & Speech Review <\/em>and on VASTA\u2019s national board.<\/em> Her teaching responsibilities at Miami have included a wide range of courses in voice, speech, dialects, acting, Shakespeare, movement, script analysis and professional practice, as well as interdisciplinary study abroad programs in France and Ireland. She was also appointed as the first professor to teach graduate pedagogy courses in the College Teaching Certificate program at Miami.\u00a0\u00a0 In 2010, Julia was awarded the College of Creative Arts Crossan Hays Curry Distinguished Educator Award. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Je’Shaun Jackson<\/strong> is a Junior BFA Musical Theatre Major at Northern Kentucky University. He was recently seen as Revita Glory, Jefferson Glory, and Darnell Nusspickle in the touring production of Church Girls:The Musical<\/em>, and Richie in Richie and Blanche <\/em>with Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park. His NKU credits include; Wyatt Frost (Originated) in The Black Boy in Pink!<\/em> , Bobby\/Kit Kat Dancer in Cabaret<\/em>, Dr.Ehrin, Pastor Bruno, Security Guard, Gym Assistant, and Officer Kowalski in Freaky Friday:The Musical<\/em>, James Hewlett in The African Company Presents: Richard III<\/em>,Company Dancer in Dance 20\u2019<\/em>, and Joshua in the filmed production of Fugitive Songs<\/em>. Other Credible Roles include: William Barf\u00e8e in 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee<\/em> , Shrek in Shrek The Musical <\/em>, and Uncle Fester in The Addams Family Musical<\/em>. Lauren Lewis<\/strong> is a freshman theatre major and arts management co-major from Jonesboro, Arkansas. Her previous performance credits with MUT include roles in Trip<\/em> and Archive Record 62<\/em>.  She is also a member of EcoReps, HSAB, and Stage Left. Lauren would love to thank the outstanding cast and crew, as well as all of her family and friends for their support.

Terry Li<\/strong> (Toni) is an award-winning actor, producer, and makeup artist based in Los Angeles. As a 1st-generation Asian American, she has spent the last decade producing and developing creative spaces for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ artists. She is currently an Associate Producer at IAMA Theatre, an Ovation Award-winning theatre company whose work has been commissioned by Shonda Rhimes and recognized by Playbill as a top regional theatre company. She was a Founding Artistic Producer and Resident Artist at On the Verge Repertory in Santa Barbara, CA, where she produced world and regional premieres by female, LGBTQ+, and BIPOC writers. She is also the recipient of the Santa Barbara Independent Theatre Award in Performance. Recent\/favorite acting credits include title role of Athena<\/em> (On the Verge), Stupid Fucking Bird<\/em> (Elements Theatre), and Amelie the Musical<\/em> (Out of the Box). Clarice Castillo Lopez<\/strong> is a junior at Tulane University majoring in Environmental Studies and Digital Media Production. On campus, she is the Co-General Manager of TUBE, an organization focused on making videos, podcasts, and webseries. She is also involved in the making of various short films by the university\u2019s seniors for their final projects. In this, she has taken on various roles, including acting. She is excited to join the cast of Baby Camp<\/em> and can\u2019t wait to work with everyone!

Chloe Ash Padilla<\/strong> is a freshman theatre major at Miami University. At Miami University she has been in Stage Left\u2019s production of American Idiot. <\/em>She may be a newcomer to the Miami Theatre scene but has had a passion for theatre her entire life. Chloe is so thankful to be involved in the production of the Digital Reading Series and wants to thank everyone who has devoted their time and effort to the project.

Charlotte Perez<\/strong> is a sophomore theatre major with a social justice minor at Miami University. At Miami she was the assistant sound designer for Blood Sisters<\/em>, Sound Designer for From the Many<\/em>, and Light Board Op for She Kills Monsters. Acting credits include The Actor\u2019s Nightmare<\/em> (Ellen) and Choosing Freedom<\/em> (Narrator). She also serves as the secretary and treasurer of the Walking Theatre Project and is a member of Alpha Psi Omega. She hopes that you all enjoy these amazing pieces!

Trystan Peters<\/strong> is a freshman theatre student involved in both The Helpers <\/em>and in Silas the Uninvited<\/em>. These performances are Trystan\u2019s premiere at Miami University in any performance setting. His previous acting experiences were typically in comedic or musical pieces, so these roles will be a drastic change to what Trystan has been seen portraying before. Off the stage, Trystan is more reserved and tends to keep to himself with a good book or with a strategy video game. \u201cI hope everyone enjoys these productions, and thanks for watching all of them!\u201d

Grace Pierce<\/strong> is a senior Theatre and History double major with minors in Film Studies and European Studies in her last semester at Miami University. Previously Miami credits include MU Digital Fringe Festival (Lead Dramaturg and Co Founder of the Dramaturgy and Writing about Performance Institute), She Kills Monsters<\/em> (Lead Dramaturg), Good Kids<\/em> (Lead Dramaturg), and Echoes of Miami<\/em> (Crusher). Grace is currently the Business Manager of Alpha Psi Omega and the Warden of Kappa Kappa Psi.

Joseph Sheridan<\/strong> is a Sophomore Theatre Major with a co-major in Arts Management and minors in Music Theatre, Dance, and General Business playing Jo Koophuis in The Helpers<\/em>.  This is his first time performing for the Department, but some of his other collegiate performance experience includes A Beginner\u2019s Guide to High School Dances <\/em>(Mr. Mason), Cut! <\/em>(D\/Techie), and a company member of Rian Sondag\u2019s Comedy Revue<\/em>.  He is also highly involved in the production side of theatre, with roles including the lead producer in Beginner\u2019s Guide<\/em>, Assistant Producing the Miami University Digital Fringe Festival<\/em>, and writing and directing The Cell<\/em> for said festival.  He proudly serves on the producing board for New Wave Theatre Company, and is a member of student organizations Stage Left, APO, and the Walking Theatre Project. He hopes that everyone enjoys the show(s) and wants to thank everyone who has supported him along the way.

Maddy Shilts<\/strong> is a senior Theater and History double major with a minor in German. Maddy is the Vice President of the Omega Rho Chapter of Alpha Psi Omega and a member of Phi Alpha Theta at Miami.  Most recently at Miami, Maddy wrote and played the titular role in Sherlock Holmes and the Adventure of the Vanishing Ring <\/em>during MUT\u2019s Digital Fringe Festival.  Maddy is thrilled to be playing Jan Gies in The Helpers <\/em>and Nikolai Yezhov in Describe the Night<\/em> and would like to thank the talented DRS casts and crews, the guest artists for sharing their incredible work with us, and friends and family for their unwavering love and support.

Emily Stowers<\/strong> is thrilled to be a part of Baby Camp<\/em>! A sophomore studying Theatre, Political Science, and Economics in the University Honors Program, Emily is also involved on campus in Alpha Psi Omega, Alpha Omicron Pi, and with New Wave Theatre Co., serving as their current Literary Manager. Theatrical credits include Wilheminia in Blood Sisters<\/em> (Miami University), for which she received a nomination for the KCACTF Irene Ryan award, Sarah in The Actor\u2019s Nightmare<\/em> (Miami IAS), Catherine in Pippin <\/em>(Stage Left), the title role in Mary Poppins <\/em>(WNHS), and dramaturg for a production of Twelfth Night <\/em>(WSHS). <\/em>Emily also worked with the OhEDTA all-Ohio companies for three consecutive years, acting for the Ohio State Thespian conference. Emily would like to thank the production team and company for the opportunity, and she hopes you love the show!

Baxter Whitehead<\/strong> is a sophomore majoring in both Theatre and Data Science & Statistics. At Miami University, he has previously portrayed Chuck Biggs in She Kills Monsters<\/em>, and was an assistant director for the short play Not Quite Morning<\/em> as part of Miami\u2019s Digital Fringe Festival<\/em>. This semester, he can be seen in The Helpers<\/em> (Otto) and Describe the Night<\/em> (Isaac) as part of the Digital Reading Series, as well as New Wave Theatre Company\u2019s musical A Beginner\u2019s Guide to High School Dances <\/em>(Curtis). Delaney Wilson<\/strong> is a freshman at Miami University majoring in Theatre and Arts Management with a minor in Music Theatre. In The Helpers, <\/em>she will be playing the role of Elli Vossen.
