{"id":1574,"date":"2025-07-08T13:52:43","date_gmt":"2025-07-08T17:52:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.miamioh.edu\/miami-regionals-e-campus\/?p=1574"},"modified":"2026-01-20T15:52:38","modified_gmt":"2026-01-20T20:52:38","slug":"we-asked-you-answered","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.miamioh.edu\/miami-regionals-e-campus\/2025\/07\/we-asked-you-answered\/","title":{"rendered":"We Asked, You Answered!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-66c47f6fcd80587c210f4c954b942965\" style=\"color:#666666;font-size:25px\">What you told us about your Miami Online experience \u2014 and what we\u2019re doing with that info.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator aligncenter has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:22px\">In April 2025, <a href=\"https:\/\/miamioh.edu\/online\/index.html\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/miamioh.edu\/online\/index.html\">Miami Online<\/a> sent out a survey to graduate students in fully online programs and undergraduates on the Regional Campuses who were taking more than 50% of their credit hours online. The goal? To better understand what\u2019s working \u2014 and what\u2019s not \u2014 for our online students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:9px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:22px\">Thank you to the 251 students who completed the survey, including 119 graduate and 132 undergraduate students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator aligncenter has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-796a19efba73013f7a6440280f2e4fac\" style=\"color:#c41230\">The Survey<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">We used the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ruffalonl.com\/enrollment-management-solutions\/student-success\/student-satisfaction-assessment\/priorities-survey-for-online-learners\/\">Priorities Survey for Online Learners (PSOL)<\/a> to gather your thoughts. This national survey helps colleges like Miami University zero in on what matters most to online students \u2014 and how well we\u2019re meeting those expectations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-8313c032395741a966d4855fffa2139d\" style=\"color:#ad102a;font-size:18px\">You rated topics such as:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\"><strong>Academic support<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\"><strong>Instructor and course quality<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\"><strong>Student services<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\"><strong>Enrollment processes<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\"><strong>Institutional reputation<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:9px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">Then, the survey compared how <em>important<\/em> each area was to you and how <em>satisfied<\/em> you were, spotlighting gaps where we can improve. <br>Bonus: It also benchmarks us against schools nationwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-0d99693f6716f1bf44aa901c06a1dae1\" style=\"color:#c41230\">Highlights&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">Here\u2019s some good news: 91% of students said their Miami Online experience was what they expected \u2014 or even better. When asked if you\u2019d choose Miami again, 84% said yes, just above the national average of 83%. Among grad students, 56% said \u201cDefinitely Yes\u201d \u2014 compared to the national average of 51%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:9px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">On a 10-point scale, undergrads gave their experience an 8.13, and grad students rated it 8.57.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:9px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1024\" data-id=\"1593\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.miamioh.edu\/miami-regionals-e-campus\/files\/2025\/07\/1-1-1024x1024.png\" alt=\"8.13 Rating out of 10. It\u2019s the only way I am able to go back to school and finish my bachelor\u2019s while<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\" style=\"font-size:20px\"><em>working full time. Thank you for offering flexible routes to the same great Miami education!<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:9px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">Others shared similar sentiments \u2014 especially those juggling jobs, families, and other responsibilities. Flexibility + quality = a winning combo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:9px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">Though we\u2019re pleased with these results, we are always looking to grow. Student responses indicated that they are looking for quick response times and support in finding financial resources and affording higher education, balancing work and school, and improving mental wellness. Providing top-tier services in these areas is one of the ways Miami Online delivers on its promise to make education accessible and attainable for more students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-8e55e94f3a3306408d6981232c8bc133\" style=\"color:#c41230\">So What Does This Mean for You?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">Your feedback is already shaping the future of Miami Online.
