With a system-wide unification of online academic programs, Miami University has launched a new era of academic accessibility, affordability, and flexibility with its newly centralized online campus, Miami Online.
Miami’s reimagined online university offers dozens of short-term programs – Microcredentials, certificates, and professional education – as well as full undergraduate and graduate degrees. Miami Online serves students at all stages of education and life, including working adults who need new skills for career advancement, those who want to pursue or complete their first college degree, college graduates whose lives are too demanding for on-campus graduate school, or lifelong learners.
The new Miami Online leverages 25 years of online education experience through Miami University Regionals’ E-Campus, combining it with graduate and professional education programs developed on Miami’s Oxford campus and united under the Miami Online banner.
Is an online degree or certificate right for you?
Miami Online is here to support you in beginning or continuing your educational journey. It may be helpful to consider your goals, budget, and the amount of time that you want to invest in yourself. - Microcredentials are a great way to learn a new skill or build on existing skills. They are a collection of credit-bearing, certifiable courses offered in business, technology, engineering and more. Popular options include Photoshop, Agile Certified Professional, Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD), and Basic Spanish Language Skills. Complete a Microcredential in less than a year, or “stack” your Microcredential toward a degree.
- Professional Education includes certifiable, self-paced, non-credit courses that can be completed in a few weeks. Advance your career in business, leadership, and more. Learn about Miami’s miniMBA, Mental Health First Aid, and other relevant professional development courses. Miami Online will also partner with employers to develop custom courses for your organization.
- Explore Online Undergraduate Degrees. Find affordable, in-demand programs tailored to meet today’s workforce. Earn a business degree in Digital Commerce or Sales Management; protect and defend networks with a Cybersecurity and Networking degree, and more. Complete your degree while working, traveling, or caring for loved ones.
- Further or change your career with our Online Graduate Programs. Educators, nurses, scientists, and business professionals will find programs to enhance growth and expertise. Most degrees can be completed in two years or less, or explore graduate certificates in various fields that can be completed in less than a year.
