By default, only a Zoom meeting’s host can share their screen, but you can change this setting after your meeting has started by either allowing all participants in your meeting to share their screens or by making the person who needs to present a co-host during your meeting.
Allow all participants to share their screens.
This setting is part of the screen sharing options for your meeting. Here’s where you can find it:
- Click the small up arrow to the right of the Share Screen icon in your Zoom meeting window. A menu will open.
- Click the Multiple participants can share simultaneously option. Now, anyone in your meeting can share their screen.
Note that you can turn on and off this setting if you only want to allow someone to share their screen during part of your meeting.
Make someone your co-host.
Once you’ve made a participant a co-host, they’ll have access to the co-host controls, which allow them to do more than just share their screen. You may want to review the co-host permissions to make sure you aren’t providing someone with more access to meeting controls than you’d like.
There are two ways that you can make a user a co-host. In the meeting window:
- Hover over a participant’s video in the gallery of meeting participants.
- Click the more icon, which looks like three dots, to open a menu with different options for that individual participant.
- Click Make Co-Host.
In the participants panel:
- Click Participants in the meeting controls at the bottom of the Zoom window.
- Hover over the name of the participant who you want to make a co-host, then choose More.
- Click Make Co-Host.
