Fallen | Sabrina Barilone

Growing up in Italy, Belgium and the United States, Sabrina often relied on observation and reading body language when she found herself in a country where she did not speak the language. She sculpts realistically dynamic full figures frozen in moments of intensity and life-sized, portrait busts in clay that communicate a narrative through mixed media and subtle body language. Sabrina is a first-year MFA candidate focusing in Ceramics. She received an BFA in Art Education from Georgia State University. She has taught Art in Georgia public schools for 20 years.

“He laments the failure of human kind to take necessary measures to preserve our planet. His hands, placed to the side, look to catch an object, perhaps the world. Will the tired hands save us?”
