Anthropocene: The Time We Belong | Ishita Islam

Ishita Islam is an international MFA student at Miami University with a Studio art major working on ecology, climate change, and the relationship between humans and the earth. She is from a south-east Asian country ‘Bangladesh’ and worked as an art administrator where she researched sustainable and environment-friendly crafts and designs. Before that, she completed her BFA and MFA in Painting at the University Of Dhaka, Bangladesh.

“I believe that abiding by the laws of nature, each part of the universe is running along with maintaining a profound harmony, and a delicate design. Humans are also part of that subtle mechanism. I perceive that the world could be a better place to live in if humans nourish the symphony of nature, to keep the synergistic interconnection between earthlings and earth.”
