All that Remains of the Selfish Ape is Flowers | Brian Vogt

Brian Vogt is a senior honors student with majors in Creative Writing and Individualized Studies: Found Object Art. Brian uses his art and writing to incite dialogue about socio-political issues. As an artist, Brian has worked with world-renowned artist Ron Fondaw to create a sustainable sculpture out of adobe clay at Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park. He also teaches found object workshops with kids in order to share the sustainable and also therapeutic benefits of this art form with future generations.

Brian seeks to answer the question of humanity’s post-extinction impact and identity through the found object collage All that Remains of the Selfish Ape is Flowers. Brian states, “Humanity is represented by advertisement models – commercialized and commodified humans.”
