My Campus

Before I came to Miami Regionals, I had imagined what the campus looked like. After I came to this school, I found that the look here was completely different from what I imagined. The first time I came to the Hamilton campus was a math test for orientation. When I walked into the campus, I was greeted by a small campus. However, the strong learning atmosphere has infected me.

The main structure of the campus is four buildings. After school, I gradually distinguished the differences between the buildings. One building is mainly responsible for mathematics courses, one building is mainly responsible for humanities courses, and one building is mainly responsible for language courses and a building. Responsible for geography courses. There are many ancillary facilities on campus, the simple Starbucks, the cafeteria and the bookstore.

University life is completely different from what I imagined. Students only need to take the class on the curriculum during the course time. Unlike my previous Chinese high school, Chinese high schools divide students into particular classrooms. Students don’t have to walk to a specific classroom for their class, just sit in the particular classroom and wait for a teacher. Such a curriculum system seems more complicated, but it also has many benefits. For example, when students concentrate on a 70-minute class, they need to stand up and do some walking to soothe blood vessels and activate their brains. In another case, different classrooms classify different courses. When students have two mathematics classes adjacent to each other, they can find their classrooms without going far. On the other hand, the sub-disciplinary building is also conducive to creating a better learning environment for students.

Many of the school’s facilities are also very convenient. For example, the bus stop is opposite the school, which is convenient for students to go to school and leave school. There is also a school cafe and cafeteria where students can have a cup of coffee after a busy day of study, or fill their stomachs with stressful courseware so that they can raise their spirits in the next lesson. My favorite is the school lounge. Many public facilities in the United States have an advantage. There is a soft sofa no matter where you go. I like the sofa in the lounge the most. After I got tired of the hard chair in the classroom, I would like to relax on the sofa in the library or lounge. Occasionally, you can take a nap on the sofa, or lie on the sofa and open the computer to finish the homework.

There are many differences between American universities and Chinese universities. When I first came here, I had a lot of culture shocks. What I was most surprised about was a detail that some classmates would help me to hold the door when I was entrance the school building. This made me feel a little warm and gratified in the United States far away from home. I want to thank the experience of this magical place for me.
