Some might even argue that the men\u2019s swim team had a historic season as well \u2026 perhaps for <em>different<\/em> reasons. What many Miami fans don\u2019t see, however, is what happens behind the scenes in marketing departments while the unforgettable moments are unfolding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alongside the incredible work produced by Intercollegiate Athletics (ICA) throughout the basketball season, University Communications and Marketing (UCM) provided support to ensure our teams received the recognition and record-breaking attendance they deserved. ICA started off strong at the beginning of basketball season and reached out to UCM just before winter break for an assist with the surge in momentum. By January and February, both marketing teams were diving in headfirst to Miami Madness.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The energy of having two basketball teams making history at the same time demanded significant effort, coordination, communication, creativity, and collaboration. Everyone at Miami wanted to be part of the excitement, and ICA and UCM were there to help bring it all to life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s just a glimpse of what was created:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>More than 800 social media posts and stories across four accounts, including custom animations and ads<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>21 news stories in Miami News during the month of March<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Five unique billboard designs, displayed along I-75 in Cincinnati<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>17 videos, including game recaps, Instagram stories, website banner videos, and a video box truck, driving around cities during tournament games<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>27 photo galleries, totaling over 6,000 images including game action, pregame, fan engagement, and media days<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Thousands of shirts handed out to attendees at multiple games, with seven completely new designs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Merchandise giveaways including: striped overalls, bandanas, rally towels, signs, stickers, headbands, wristbands, mini basketballs, bucket hats, jerseys<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Exclusive merchandise for donors and season ticket holders<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Online pop-up shops<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>More than 35 new shirt designs launched for purchase through multiple vendors<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collectible NIL player card sets<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>More than $110,000 in counterfeit goods removed from the marketplace<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The 2025\u201326 season wasn\u2019t just history in the making \u2026 it was an experience. From the court to the crowd to the creative behind the scenes, the combined efforts of ICA and UCM amplified every moment.
