Graduate Research Assistant, start in Fall 2023

A graduate research assistant position with assistantship is available at the HCD Research Lab. The successful candidate is expected to (1) have a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field to engineering design or cognitive psychology, and (2) have a strong motivation and commitment in engineering design.

If you are currently enrolled as Miami undergraduate student (senior or junior), you might be eligible to apply through the BS+MS combined program.

For students who have interests (apply for graduate program or the BS+MS combined program), please send an email to me at jshe@miamioh.edu with the following information: 1) subject title: “PROSPECTIVE GRADUATE STUDENT“, 2) your detailed resume (describe your interests, related research experience, industrial experience, etc.), and 3) transcript .

For international students outside of US, please also provide your GRE score, and TOFEL or IELTS score, or the date you have scheduled to take the tests.

Undergraduate Research Assistants

The HCD Research Lab welcomes undergraduate students to join research!

Expected students: 1) interested in working in any of the areas described on the home page, or have an idea for an innovative project that you would like to find a mentor to work with, and 2) able to commit at least 6 hours on research each week.

Expected starting time: Fall 2023.
