The email below will be sent to all incoming new first-year students on Thursday, 5/9 to remind them of the upcoming roommate and LLC preference deadline.


Dear Student,

This reminder email is being sent to ALL Incoming First Year Students about your housing application. Be sure to review your current selections on the Application Summary page of your housing application before the May 19 LLC preference and roommate request deadline. This is an important final step to make sure your selections are correct.

Residential Community (LLC): The last date to select (or change) your Community preferences is May 19. Incoming students are assigned to housing based on Living Learning Communities. If you have a mutual roommate request please check with your roommate to verify that your community preferences match and are in the same order. If your LLC preferences do not match you may not be assigned together.

Roommate (Optional): If you would like to request a specific roommate, this is your chance to do so. The last date to request a roommate is May 19, so it’s important that you confirm your roommate group in the housing portal prior to the deadline. We like to remind incoming students that each year only about half of our new students request a specific roommate, while the other half allows for roommate matching to occur based on mutual community preferences!

If you do not plan to attend Miami for Fall 2024, please contact the Office of Admission at admission@miamioh.edu in order to let them know your plans have changed.
