Taylor is currently a Senior Political Science major and Sports Management minor from Urbana, Ohio.

Active politically both within and outside campus, he serves as the Chairman Emeritus for the Miami University College Republicans and represents Miami as the Vice Chairman of the Ohio College Republican Federation.
