Ohio State University sued over refusal to let white nationalist speak

An associate of Spencer sued Ohio State University after it refused to rent campus space for him to speak. The lawsuit was filed Sunday, Oct. 22, 2017, in federal court in Columbus.

According to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, attorneys representing Richard Spencer are suing the Ohio State University after they refused to rent him space to speak due to a “substantial risk to public safety.”

DeVos to revamp Obama-era schools sexual assault policy

Education Secretary Betsy DeVos said Thursday that she will rescind an Obama-era schools directive on sexual assault and develop a replacement that she said would do a better job of balancing the rights of victims and the accused.

Here’s who’s interested in running for Pat Tiberi’s congressional seat

A number of Republican state lawmakers are considering running for U.S. Rep. Pat Tiberi's 12th District seat, including state Sens. Kevin Bacon (left) and Jay Hottinger (right), and state Rep. Rick Carfagna (middle).

On October 18, Congressman Pat Tiberi (OH-12) announced he would resign from Congress by January 31, 2018 in order to join the Ohio Business Roundtable. One of the leading contenders to run for the seat is a Miami Alum, State Senator Kevin Bacon (’94).
