My goal is to keep this blog post positive and equip you will tips and tricks for a great classroom environment, whether it be a science class or any other subject!<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-862 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/sites.miamioh.edu\/edt431-531\/files\/2018\/04\/happy-300x182.png?resize=211%2C128\" alt=\"\" width=\"211\" height=\"128\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/sites.miamioh.edu\/exemplary-science-teaching\/files\/2018\/04\/happy.png?resize=300%2C182&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/sites.miamioh.edu\/exemplary-science-teaching\/files\/2018\/04\/happy.png?w=740&amp;ssl=1 740w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 211px) 100vw, 211px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Some things to keep in mind&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Love your students &#8212; and stand firmly against behavior that doesn&#8217;t meet your expectations or reflect their inner greatness.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right\"><em>&#8220;[Students] needed to know that I cared for them and would not accept their poor choice because it would ultimately hurt them and didn&#8217;t reflect how wonderful they truly are.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Call attention to the things your students are doing that meet your expectations.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right\"><em>&#8220;In those first few minutes, hours and days in the classroom, you are essentially creating a world. And you want a world in which students do things that will keep them or put them on a path to a life replete with meaningful opportunities.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Tell your students about who you are and why you&#8217;re there.
