Specifically, his talk is entitled \u201cDiscipline, Control, and the Black Body.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Student Voice: Parkland Students Speak<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>When<\/strong>: Monday, 2\/18 @ 7:30-9:30pm<br \/>\n<strong>Where<\/strong>: Hall Auditorium, Green Room<br \/>\nDescription: Parkland High School students David Hogg and Alex Wind will speak as part of the Miami University Lecture Series.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Native American Perspectives on Interracial Healing<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>When<\/strong>: Tuesday, 2\/19 @ 5-6pm<br \/>\n<strong>Where<\/strong>: Wilks Conference Center, Hamilton, OH (1601 University Blvd)<br \/>\n<strong>Description<\/strong>: The Native American Student Association of MUH will host this talk, which will \u201cdiscuss race in America from the Din\u00e9 (Navajo) lens of \u201chozh\u00f3\u201d to give the much needed tools in this time.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Black History Month Banquet<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>When<\/strong>: Wednesday, 2\/20 @ 6-9pm<br \/>\n<strong>Where<\/strong>: Armstrong Pavillion C<br \/>\n<strong>Description<\/strong>: The theme of the banquet is \u201cI\u2019m Black and I\u2019m Proud.\u201d The banquet will feature a keynote presentation by Courtney Allen, a doctoral student in the Educational Leadership PhD program at Miami. The event also includes dinner and entertainment. Tickets are $10 for students and $15 for general admission, and can be purchased online or in person at the Miami Box Office. The deadline to purchase tickets is Wednesday, 2\/13.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Race, Class, Gender, Sexuality Symposium<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>When<\/strong>: Friday, 2\/22 @ 7:30am-8pm<br \/>\n<strong>Where<\/strong>: Dolibois Room, Shriver<br \/>\n<strong>Description<\/strong>: This symposium consists of paper presentations, panels, roundtables, and performances all related to race, class, gender, and sexuality.
