Dear Miami Accountancy Alumni and Friends,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s hard to believe that the end of another academic year is here. It\u2019s such a bittersweet time. While we celebrate all our students achieved in our classes and our graduates’ accomplishments since they’ve been at Miami, we’re also going to miss them when they leave. The small upside is that for a few short months, there are no waits at Oxford\u2019s best spots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accountancy faculty and staff will be busy this summer hosting our Make it Miami Accounting Camp<\/a> for high school students, developing new experiential learning activities for our courses, and using concentrated blocks of time to advance our research. We\u2019ll also enjoy some vacation time with family and friends. I\u2019m also happy to share that effective July 1, the \u2018Interim\u2019 will drop from my title.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the meantime, I hope you enjoy these stories about the successes of some of our alums, their generosity with the time they spend with students, and our faculty, staff, and students\u2019 accomplishments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lastly, a reminder about the For Love. For Honor. For Those Who Will <\/em>capital campaign: The Farmer Family Foundation has increased its matching gift offer to match dollar-for-dollar all cash received between July 1, 2023, and June 20, 2025, up to $20 million. The match goes to the same account as your contributions, and also applies to organizations\u2019 matching gift programs\u2014so $100 can quickly become $400. My understanding is that there is not much of the $20 million match left, so give today, if you\u2019re able.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
