On the 25th anniversary of 9/11, we remember Kelly A. Booms, who graduated from the Farmer School of Business in 1999 with a BS in Accounting and Finance. While at Miami University, Kelly was active in many organizations, including Delta Sigma Pi, Beta Alpha Psi, intramural athletics, and a campus Bible study group. She was a hardworking and dedicated worker with a real zest for life.
Following an internship in Cincinnati, Kelly went to work for PricewaterhouseCoopers in Boston in the assurance practice. Tragically, Kelly was a victim of the terrorist attacks at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. PricewaterhouseCoopers, together with Kelly’s parents, created the PwC Kelly A. Booms Memorial Scholarship to honor her memory and her time at Miami University.
