As we welcome the Class of 2030, we invite you to show your support for the next generation of accountants by giving to the Accountancy Department Support Fund. Every little bit helps to support our initiatives to:
- Promote the accountancy profession and attract students to Miami’s accountancy programs.
- Host thought leaders to speak to students and faculty about today’s most important topics, including AI, sustainability, and the opportunities in the profession.
- Support faculty and staff development to advance scholarship and teaching.
Why give?
We’ve been blown away by the generosity of our alumni and their continuing support throughout the years. Here’s what they said when they gave to #MoveInMiami:
Accounting grad from class of 1980. Had honor of receiving instruction from professors such as Hal Jasper, Ben Yager, and others. Miami needs to continue to turn out quality grads to promote the profession! —James P.
I had a wonderful career thanks to my Miami accounting education. I also made life-long friends. I would not trade my Miami years and memories for anything! —Marion S.
Accounting is a core skill for understanding how organizations of any size make money and tells their financial results. I was a first generation student, and Miami was one of two schools I considered at the time because that is where the Big 8 audit firms were hiring from. I encourage any person considering a business career to begin in accounting. — Tanya H.
Miami University will always be my home away from home. For Love & Honor always —Cheryl F.
