Accountancy Students Help Oxford Seniors File Taxes

Under the guidance of accountancy professors Michele Frank and Bill Moser, accountancy students spent the month of February visiting the Oxford Senior Center to assist senior citizens in completing their tax returns.

Lexie Knox, Leah Cox, Hailee Perry, and Josie Stephen were all willing to step up and help prepare tax returns for seniors in Oxford when the AARP was no longer able to do so. They put their accounting skills to good use, while at the same time having fun interacting with members of the community. One senior noted, “If everyone knew it was this fun to fill out tax returns, no one would ever complain about it.”
