Both sessions will be held online.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:19px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This event is open to all.  Use the links on the schedule page to join the conversation.  We recommend the use of the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.webex.com\/downloads.html\" target=\"_blank\">WebEx desktop app<\/a> for the best experience but you can also join using your browser.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This semester, teams were asked to work on the same project, a business rules managements system or BRMS.  They formed teams and then selected one collective bargaining agreement (CBA) to implement, either <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/13LqioPYNVTWUvtEhvulIlAUv2dTulXKL\/view?usp=sharing\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/13LqioPYNVTWUvtEhvulIlAUv2dTulXKL\/view?usp=sharing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sam Adams<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/13o87N0yfyMQxUb4gdnTL6__NLMTz_sEh\/view?usp=sharing\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/13o87N0yfyMQxUb4gdnTL6__NLMTz_sEh\/view?usp=sharing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pacific Power and Light<\/a> (PPL).  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At a high level, the teams were responsible for the following user stories:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul style=\"padding-left: 30px\">\n<li>As an HR manager or legal team member, I need to implement rules to constrain scheduling resources for work. These constraints shall follow the CBA.<\/LI>\n<li>As a team manager, I want to schedule resources for multiple shifts so I can keep production or services running.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The teams were directed to work on an entire solution. We found the scope too broad, though. Second semester the teams selected a part of the solution and negotiated with other teams to complete a full solution.  One team, <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.miamioh.edu\/cse-senior-design-expo\/2023\/11\/team-cooper\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"2689\">Team Cooper<\/a>, elected to complete the entire project.  In other cases, <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.miamioh.edu\/cse-senior-design-expo\/2023\/11\/team-henderson\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"2695\">UShift <\/a>(Team Henderson) and <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.miamioh.edu\/cse-senior-design-expo\/2023\/11\/team-braun\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"2685\">Team Braun<\/a> elected to work closely and, finally, Teams <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.miamioh.edu\/cse-senior-design-expo\/2023\/11\/team-boothe\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"2683\">Boothe<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.miamioh.edu\/cse-senior-design-expo\/2023\/11\/team-deng\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"2700\">Deng<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.miamioh.edu\/cse-senior-design-expo\/2023\/11\/team-cao\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"2687\">Cao<\/a> collaborated. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The departmental Expo Q&amp;A sessions are scheduled for Tuesday December 5th, 6:00 &#8211; 7:30 pm (join session) and Thursday December 7th, 6:00 &#8211; 7:00 pm (join session).
