{"id":86,"date":"2022-11-10T12:31:56","date_gmt":"2022-11-10T17:31:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.miamioh.edu\/cpac\/?p=86"},"modified":"2024-01-30T13:58:44","modified_gmt":"2024-01-30T18:58:44","slug":"november-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.miamioh.edu\/cpac\/2022\/11\/november-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"November 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>November 10, 2022<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In attendance: Angie Brown, Alicia Miller, Cheryl Birkenhauer (ex-officio), Jennifer Fox, Cheryl Chafin, Juanita Schrodt, Amy Moore, Bonnie Crabtree, Carley Collins, Tonya Moryl, Amy Newson (UPAC Rep), Dawn Fahner (HR)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Absent: Thyra Sens<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>HR &#8211; Dawn Fahner<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Call or Order<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The official meeting was called to order at 8:36 a.m.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Human Resources Update &#8211; Dawn Fahner, Associate Vice President of Human Resources<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.miamioh.edu\/human-resources\/my-money\/compensation\/total-compensation\/index.html#:~:text=The%20annual%20University%20Service%20Supplement,more%20years%20of%20continuous%20service.\">Longevity Bonus&nbsp;<\/a>&#8211; This will be on the December 16th paycheck. Communication will go out regarding this.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Classified payroll processing during winter break. Need to work with supervisors to be sure your hours are correct. Classified staff are not required to use vacation\/personal time. Be sure to approve with your correct hours&#8217; communication going out to the timekeeper.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Paid holidays populate in TCP the day after. Full-time is automatic and part-time has to be added manually.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Annual update about university weather closing procedures coming soon.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Policy revision &#8211; going to work with Angie Brown to put together communication to be sent to all classified staff. Updating Reduction in Force Policy &amp; Holiday&nbsp; Policy due to EMMS and UCM being under their own umbrella.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you utilize sick time during a work week you wouldn\u2019t get overtime. If it\u2019s not required of you then you wouldn\u2019t be eligible for overtime.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Health &amp; Wellness Task Force &#8211; Not able to add Amy at this time but would be willing to work with her and bring back information. They are working on a survey to come out before the break. Hope it\u2019s a brief survey.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Premium discount program deadline coming up on November 15th.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Health Insurance providing new ID cards to all. Should receive them towards the end of December. The number on the card will remain the same.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Approval of Last Meeting Minutes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Minutes were approved &#8211; Cheryl Chafin made the motion to approve and Cheryl Birkenhauer&nbsp;seconded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Subcommittee Updates<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Benefits &#8211; Jennifer Fox &#8211; no updates<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Campus Planning &#8211; Bonnie Crabtree &#8211; President Crawford is granting the tribe an amphitheater area either between Joyner and Bonham or the north side of Harrison and High Street. Construction update on King Library and McGuffey&#8217;s back side of McGuffey to be closed due to construction for steam upgrades. Starting at the end of classes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Classified Staff Compensation &#8211; Tonya Moryl &#8211; no updates<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Council on Diversity and Inclusion (CODI) &#8211; Juanita Schrodt &#8211; planning on splitting into subcommittees: internationalization, course evaluation, how to deal with biases with course evaluations, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fiscal Priorities &#8211; Alicia Miller &#8211; continuing to meet with Deans and other University administrators<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>University Senate &#8211; Cheryl Chafin &#8211; proposals for cybersecurity degree, graduate student summer research priorities, sustainability update.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>UPAC Liaison &#8211; Amy Newsome<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Topics<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>CPAC Website &#8211; working on getting this up to date<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CPAC Facebook &#8211; Alicia Miller, Carley Collins, and Angie Brown are administrators with editing access.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coffee and Connect &#8211; 35 people signed up for the session at the Rec Center; broke into groups, and tours were given.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conference in May &#8211; discussion about topics and who to ask; members were going to begin reaching out to possible speakers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Miscellaneous<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cheryl Chafin Update &#8211; Janus Forum Roe vs. Wade, November 15 at 6 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Next Meeting<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our next meeting will be on December 15, 2022. I would love to have this meeting in person&nbsp;if possible.
