It serves as documentation for a portion of<br>\nHamilton\u2019s human carriage installation at the Guggenheim<br>\nMuseum\u2014dynamic sculpture of dismembered and rejoined<br>\nbooks (like the stack in this print)\u2014descending a single pipe<br>\nrunning down the length of the rotunda. The silence of<br>\nbeholding this print stands in contrast to the musical<br>\nexperience of the work\u2019s sculptural and performative<br>\nelements. The way in which Hamilton divided and reassembled<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>the books to form colorblocked cross-sections mimics quilt-<br>\nmaking in both a physical and aesthetic sense.
