Its expansion<br>\nboth in performance and displayed here allows its<br>\nwords to be read. The few words printed per line<br>\ncreates a stilted voice when read. The words,<br>\nborrowed from Schneemann\u2019s diaristic film Kitch\u2019s<br>\nLast Meal, prod how language genders professions<br>\nin the arts. Schneemann questions how<br>\n\u201ccameraman\u201d becomes \u201ccameraperson\u201d whereas<br>\n\u201cpoet\u201d becomes a \u201cpoetess,\u201d when women take<br>\nthe reins of male-dominated fields.
