Her flourishing relationship<br>\nwith abstraction in Untitled paralleled a career devoted to<br>\nre-imagining the potential of the female body through<br>\nrevolutionary fashion design. In synthesizing art and fashion,<br>\nDelaunay used her unique brand of abstraction to understand<br>\nhow freedom of expression, color, and line can mirror feminist<br>\nefforts to liberate the female body. Untitled fits seamlessly<br>\ninto a broad, cross-disciplinary resistance against<br>\npredetermined systemic boundaries, displaying Delaunay\u2019s<br>\ndistinct interpretation of artistic and personal identity in<br>\nrelation to gender politics.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\"><p>Sonia Delaunay (French, b.
