Campus involvement can lead to leadership opportunities, networking and hands-on experience that&#8217;s directly, or indirectly, related to your career goals. Being involved in organizations on campus can also lead to a growth in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thebalancecareers.com\/what-are-soft-skills-2060852\">soft skills<\/a> that you often don&#8217;t get from classroom experience alone. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Regardless of your major, Miami offers hundreds of student-run organizations that can help you grow. There&#8217;s business fraternities, pre-med  clubs, Greek life, intramural sports and more. It&#8217;s important to find organizations that will help you grow professionally, but it&#8217;s equally important to find organizations that you will enjoy being part of. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Employers like to see your interests outside of your major come through on your resume. Having leadership experience on your resume is also a huge plus.
