This is our next post in a series featuring the student artists who have created one or more pieces displayed in Outside the Box.
Meet our featured artist, Sophie Wolber!
Sophie is a Senior Photography & Printmaking Major with a minor in Arts Management, from Wyoming, OH!
She came to Miami because it was close to home, and at Miami, Sophie is a member of Zeta Tau Alpha. She enjoys hanging out with friends and making art; and her favorite period of art is contemporary. Her dream job is to work at an art museum.
The Student Response Exhibition asked students to think beyond physical limits with the concept of a box. Sophie has two pieces displayed in this exhibition! For her featured piece, titled Untitled #1, she states,
“When I think of “Outside the Box” I think of barriers because everything that we have done growing up has guidelines.”
