| Commercial and social services could use a way to localize multiple users (crowd) and to track their spatio-temporal pattern of movement over a longer term. |
| PROJECT PURPOSE: |
| Develop and deploy a system that uses both active and passive user localization in indoor environment and carries out detailed analysis of smartphone user crowds to predict crowd behavior and movement. Locations of user crowds are then plotted in a real-time basis on an indoor map of a building to generate a heatmap. User privacy is maintained. |
